We often get asked if we repair Blinds Plantation Shutters, Shades,  and other custom window treatments. The answer is normally Yes, although it really depends on the make of the product, how old it is and the problem. Most of the time we can carry out a successful repair using the large range of spare available to us. If a successful repair cannot be completed on site we will ship the item back to the factory where possible for their attention ( this service is depending on make and age of product and extent of repairs required).

With the countless number of Plantation shutters on the market most of the problems we come across are associated with the accidental damage due to harsh use . The most common problem with plantation shutters is broken tilt rods,broken louver pins and loose louvers. We sometimes  come across problems associated with poor installations. The worst case we were called out to was a custom plantation shutter mounted to a french door. The installers  had used inadequate mounting screws that pulled out  of the door causing the entire shutter to fall off. This is not the first time we have seen poorly fitted plantation shutters and sadly it will not be the last.

The most common problem we come across with Vertical Blinds is broken tracks and faulty vane stems. We carry a large range of spares that cover most vertical tracks that are installed by other companies. Broken or missing slats can be color and pattern matched from our extensive vertical blind sample decks.

Horizontal Blind repairs are normally due to broken strings, damaged wand controls and broken valance clips. Only certain Blinds can be restrung , if a repair is not possible a suitable replacement can be offered at competitive prices. We stock various types of valance clips and wand tilt controls.

Roller, Honeycomb and Roman shade repairs normally only require new cords for the control ends. We normally stock most sizes of chain and beaded cords required for these products.
